Let’s talk about taking control of Irritable Bowel Syndrome!* Because let’s face it, this condition can make us feel like we’re not in charge of our own bodies. But fear not, because there are plenty of ways to take back control and show IBS who’s boss.

First of all, diet. We all know that certain foods can trigger IBS symptoms, but that doesn’t mean we have to give up all the good stuff. No, we just have to get a little creative. Like that time we made cauliflower crust pizza. Or when we swapped out our morning coffee for herbal tea. It’s all about finding alternatives and making our own rules.

And then there’s exercise. We know that physical activity can help relieve stress and improve our gut health, but sometimes it can be hard to find the motivation. Try turning your living room into a dance party and pretending you’re in a music video (no one ask me to show that footage). I also like pajama yoga. Alone. In my home.

But you know what’s on par with diet and exercise? The power of laughter. Yes, ladies, laughter truly is an amazing medicine. So, let’s embrace the silly moments and find humor where we can. Like that time we had to run to the bathroom in the middle of a meeting while pretending we were on a secret mission (spy music optional). Or when we accidentally toot in public and blamed it on the dog (even though we don’t have a dog).

IBS doesn’t define us. We can do this, ladies.

With love and care,

AnnaKay
