Instead of just trying to survive the pain, fight it!
—Try the FODMAP diet (read blog post here).
—Stick to low sodium foods to reduce water retention.
—Drink plenty of water to flush out excess fluids.
But let’s not forget about the power of self-care. Yes, ladies, taking care of ourselves during this time is crucial. Create a “period survival kit” with a pack of toilet paper, extra pads or tampons, and something special just for you. Heating pads, hot baths, and gentle yoga poses can all help soothe angry organs. And hey, if all else fails, curling up in the fetal position and binge-watching your favorite show might take your mind off things.
